Installing an LED mirror is not complicated, but two things matter most: safe electrical connection and correct mounting. Ledreflection LED mirrors are typically hardwired (mirror wires connect to your home’s wall wires), and can be controlled by a wall switch, touch, sensor, remote, or optional app control (depending on configuration).
In this guide, you’ll learn how to plan the installation, what “Without switch” means for wall-switch-only control, how the heated anti-fog mat is typically controlled, and the safest way to clean your mirror so it stays bright and streak-free.
Before you start
Tools and planning
Most installations require basic tools (level, drill, suitable anchors for your wall type). Plan enough time to measure, level the hanging profile, and test the mirror after connection. For hardwiring and bathroom installations, use a qualified electrician.
Confirm your power setup
Ledreflection mirrors are typically hardwired, meaning the mirror wires connect to your home’s wall wires.
Good to know:
- The mirror can be connected to a wall switch for on/off control.
- You can order a mirror “Without switch” (so there is no extra switch on the mirror) if you want wall-switch control only.
- The mirror can be connected with a single power cord (2 wires).
Safety note: For bathrooms and hardwiring, Ledreflection recommends installation by a qualified electrician. If you need an exact protection rating (IP rating), check the specific product page for your model.
Check wall type and placement
Make sure your wall can support the mirror safely (tile, drywall, concrete, brick). Use appropriate anchors and drill bits for your surface.
How to mount an LED mirror (Ledreflection mounting method)
How Ledreflection mirrors mount to the wall
Each mirror comes with:
- a hanging profile
- installation instructions (and the instruction manual is usually available in the product description)
Quick mounting workflow (simple overview)
Most installations follow this sequence:
- Mark the mirror position and height.
- Level and fix the hanging profile to the wall using suitable anchors for your wall type.
- Hang the mirror onto the profile and ensure it sits securely.
- Test the mirror after connection (light + controls) before final cleanup.
Mirror thickness (so you plan spacing correctly)
Ledreflection mirror thickness is approx. 25 mm total:
- 4 mm mirror
- 21 mm high-quality anodized aluminium profile
This matters if you’re planning tight spacing with cabinets, wall lights, or sockets.
How to connect your LED mirror (wall switch, switchless, and control options)
Wall switch connection (on/off behaviour)
Yes — the mirror can be connected to a wall switch, so you can turn it on and off using that switch.

Ordering “without switch” (best for wall-switch-only control)
If you want the mirror controlled only by the wall switch, you can order it without an additional switch on the mirror:
- Select Illumination switch
- Choose Without switch
Control options you can choose
Ledreflection offers several control methods:
- Touch button
- Sensor
- Wall switch
- Remote control
- Optional app control (depending on configuration)
Lighting options and power (simple, spec-based explanation)
LED power consumption (W per meter)
Ledreflection uses different strip power depending on the lighting style:
- Standard backlit mirrors mirrors: 6 W/m LED strip
- Frontlit mirrors: 12 W/m LED strip
LED color temperature options (Kelvin)
The most common option is neutral white (4000K).
On request, Ledreflection can also produce:
- Warm white (3000K)
- Cool white (6000K)
What RGB and RGB+CCT mean
- RGB = colored lighting (red/green/blue + mixed colors). Mainly decorative / ambient.
- RGB+CCT = RGB plus adjustable white light (warm to cool). This gives both mood lighting and practical everyday light.
Anti-fog heated mat (how it works and how to order it)
What the heated mat does
The heated (anti-fog) mat is an optional extra that helps keep the mirror surface clear by drying it. It’s recommended for bathrooms.
How the heated mat is controlled
Usually, the heated mat turns on and off together with the light.
If you want different behaviour: Ledreflection can install a separate switch for the heated mat — mention this in the order comments.
Can heating be used without LED lighting?
Yes — heating can be used without LED lighting.
Please indicate this in the order comments when placing your order.
Sensor tips (for reliable operation)
Sweep hand sensor clearance
The sweep hand sensor needs at least 15 cm of free space near the sensor area to operate properly. Avoid placing items too close to that zone.

LED mirror care (simple routine that prevents damage)
How to clean your LED mirror safely
Use a soft microfiber cloth. If you use cleaner, spray it on the cloth first (not directly on the mirror), then wipe and dry gently.
A simple routine: Wipe with microfiber (light pressure) and dry with a second cloth to prevent streaks. To protect the mirror surface and edges: Avoid abrasive sponges or rough paper towels, harsh chemicals, letting liquid run into edges or control areas.
Quick checklist (for fast setup)
- Confirm whether your mirror is wall switch, without switch, touch, sensor, remote, or app-controlled
- Use a qualified electrician for bathroom hardwiring
- Mount with the included hanging profile and follow the included instructions
- Plan spacing using thickness: ~25 mm total
- If adding a heated mat, note whether you want it linked to the light or on a separate switch (order comments)

Order Custom LED Mirrors (custom sizes and shapes up to 2 m × 3 m)
If you want a clean setup, wall-switch control with the “Without switch” option is a popular choice. For bathrooms, consider adding the heated anti-fog mat, and mention in order comments if you want it controlled separately from the light.
